Directory   of
Clinicians   of   Color
and   other
Minoritized   Identities

The CSJ Advocacy Committee has created a directory
of services provided by mental health
professionals with intersecting identities.
The Counselors for Social Justice Advocacy Committee intends to bring attention to the needs of diverse populations and their desire for Mental Health services specifically from individuals of a similar background.
Read the committee's statement on this project for Minority Mental Health Month and
please take advantage of the Directory of Clinicians of Color and Other Minoritized Identities below.
The Counselors for Social Justice Advocacy Committee recognizes July as Minority Mental Health Month. In the field of counseling, we recognize the importance of destigmatizing mental health for individuals of intersecting identities and offering encouragement to seek treatment and wellness. This video is a representation of the value we place on addressing barriers to access. Listen to the experiences of mental health providers and clients who identify as minorities discussing the importance of diversity and multiculturalism as it relates to mental health.

In addition to the video, we provide these resources to remove feelings of fear, lack of access and concern of not seeing those similar to themselves. Visit the
Directory of Clinicians of Color and Other Minoritized Identities  to find a therapist who shares aspects of your identity and culture.

To the minoritized community: Seeking treatment is both valuable and sacred. The needs of your mental health are valid and not to be dismissed.
