It is not enough to assist our individual clients and students (micro-level), we must improve the context of their environment (meso-level) and encourage them to improve society (macro-level). I am the Vice President for African American Concerns with the Association of Multicultural Counseling & Development (AMCD), let’s discuss ways you can advocate at the 2018 ACA Conference in Atlanta.
Dr. Lee Hughes is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling at The University of Texas at San Antonio. Her clinical, research, and advocacy concentrations include: counseling ethics, empowerment for people of color, culturally affirmative counseling interventions, and qualitative research methodologies. Dr. Lee Hughes is the Vice-President of African American Concerns with AMCD.
