Hello and Happy New Year! We are pleased to inform you that the most recent issue of the Journal for Social Action in Counseling and Psychology now has been published and can be found on the Journal’s new website:
https://openjournals.bsu.edu/jsacp

The articles in this issue are:

“There Are Many Social Evils and Only We Can Cure It”: A Thematic Content Analysis of Privileged Indian Youth’s Perspective on Social Issues
Sriya Bhattacharyya, Jasleen Kaur, Gabriel Corpus, M. Brinton Lykes, Martin Heesacker

Social Distance from Mental Illness Among Counseling, Social Work, and Psychology Students and Helping Professionals
Douglas R. Tillman, David D. Hof, Aiste Pranckeviciene, Auksė Endriulaitienė, Rasa Markšaitytė, Kristina Žardeckaitė-Matulaitienė

Seeing “RED” to Serve Students: An Example of Advocacy for Counseling Services for Refugee and Immigrant Adolescents
Lisa Hoffman, Shifa Podikunju-Hussain, Melissa Fry

Remembrance and Gratitude to Tod “Thea” Theodore Sloan
Rebecca L. Toporek

The latter article is a tribute to the Co-Founding Editor of this Journal, Tod Sloan, whose recent sudden death shocked and saddened all that knew and admired him. Tod’s vision and inspiration to promote social justice advocacy, activism, and scholarship helped shaped this Journal and will continue to be embraced in this publication in the years to come.

If you would like to submit a manuscript for possible publication in this open access, free Journal, please visit https://openjournals.bsu.edu/jsacp

Peace,
Lawrence H. Gerstein, Ph.D. & Pamela Valera, Ph.D.
Co-Editors, Journal for Social Action in Counseling and Psychology
